Here is a compilation of the independent bands and recording projects I’ve been a part of over the years.

Tom Cox

Spacious electro-acoustic ideas inspired by 70’s songwriters and 90’s power pop. Songs recorded and mixed in my home studio in Chicago. Full-Length debut, Modal Fixture, out soon!

Ryan Faris

Ryan Faris is a Chicago-based musician, audio tech, engineer, and producer. In 2016 he cofounded psychedelic pop band Bliss Motel. They released self-titled album, Bliss Motel, in 2019. In his latest single So Glad, released February 2023, Ryan establishes his musical direction with influences from the sounds of 60s pop, Brazilian jazz, and Americana.

Sophia Corrine

Sophia Corinne harvests poetry for the lines of each song from her life, one lived paying attention. Her songs are witness to the raw difficulties and layered radiant joys that every heart bears. In both writing and voice, Sophia’s songs offer the companionship of something beautiful for us to hold close in any season. Since 2021 she has released multiple EPs and toured extensively across North America. She is currently based in Asheville NC.

Shared Walls

Every now and again, if you’re lucky, you’ll glimpse Hersh Coen skating across the sidewalk, down the pier, around the corner, outside your neighborhood dive bar, leaving a trail of opulent electric guitar solos and transient garage rock songs behind.

Lily Bloom

A harpist, pianist, and singer, Lily Bloom writes all of her compositions, which she approaches from a place of vulnerability to make music that invites understanding and connection. She has cultivated her own sound and draws influences from jazz, hip hop, Americana, and rock n’ roll.

No Lonesome

Jeb Backe writes and produces No Lonesome, weaving the new threads of the new Chicago Folk. During their free time, Jeb can be found creating music, repairing reappearing holes in their jeans, and telling their friends they love them a whole lot.

Tron Weasley

Tron Weasley is my current electronic recording project, where I aim to curate collections of moods and scenes from a sprawling forest of ideas.

Psychic Shark

Psychic Shark is a four-piece psych rock outfit from Austin, TX, fronted by songwriter Anna Noel. Two guitars, bass, and drums within a desert mirage of an aquatic beachside adventure.

Anna Yukevich

Anna Yukevich is a singer-songwriter based in Brooklyn, NY. With a rich harmonic sound and a wit that’s equal parts joyful and longing, she has earned comparisons to artists such as Aimee Mann, Nick Drake, and Joni Mitchell. Her songs are full of stories, and her delivery is bright, intimate, and thoughtful. Anna writes and performs on her nylon string guitar.

Geranium Drive

Geranium Drive’s group of mystical and melodic songs takes its listener down a rabbit hole of psych-punk curiosites, and lands them in the sunshine of a 1960s Laurel Canyon jam session.

Shinglers

Cosmic Country from the songwriting collaboration of Colton Cerney, Kyle Harris, and Jeremy Brandelik. Their songs, combine their country influences and the mind expanding ideals of old Austin.

Bliss Motel

Bliss Motel was a psychedlic pop band from Austin, TX in the late 2010’s originating from the songwriting of Ryan Faris and Jeremy Brandelik. Influences include Brazilian jazz, 60’s pop, and the greater psychedelia.

Vacuum Repair

Memory and dreams blur within and around electro-acoustic soundscapes and a garage rock sensibility, from Jack Cox.

Glittertiger

Glittertiger was a band active in Chicago in the mid-2010’s comprised of Jack Cox, Ned Vogel, and myself. They set power pop songs against a backdrop colored by influences of shoegaze and proto-punk.

Trix and the Kids

Trix and the Kids was a collaborative of a dozen musicians and creatives who came together to make a rowdy amalgam of funk, hip hop, and rock music while in college in central Ohio.

Jay Leung

Jay Leung is a Helsinki-based multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. Leung spins tales of the theoretical and the intimate into originative songs blending art-folk, hot-club style jazz, and more.

Matt Montoya

Matt Montoya is an Austin, TX - based jazz guitarist who performs around Austin regularly with a cohort of collaborators including Teresa Sandragorsian, Derek Thigpen, John Hersey, Lex Chabraja, and myself.

Authors & Audio

Authors & Audio was a Dayton, OH based band active in the early 2010’s. They released five studio albums comprised of songs recalling influences of psychedelia, garage rock, and americana.

Role: Drummer, Co-Producer, with occasional contributions on Guitar and Backing Vocals
